Chocolate & Vanilla Cupcakes | Recipe

Hey guys!
Hope you're having a super relaxing Sunday. Now most of you know i'm an absolute foodie, i'm either constantly trying new foods in restaurants or i'm cooking up new things at home.
One thing i always love to make is cupcakes. I think every household should have fresh made cupcakes on a sunday morning.
Usually i only really cook savoury stuff && my sister is like the 'Cake Queen' but over the past few months i've been loving baking.
It doesn't help that i spend most my life watching 'The Great British Bakeoff' && 'Creme de la Creme'. Mary Berry goals right there.
Anyhoo, here is the recipe i always use for my chocolate cupcakes!

Recipe
1. Pre-heat over at 200°C/ 390°F/ Gask Mark 6 && Line tin with cupcake cases
2. Sift flour && cocoa powder together and put to one side.
3.In a bowl, soften the butter && sugar together until combined and soft.
4. Gradually add 1 egg at a time && the flour slowly, whilst beating with a wooden spoon.
5. Once all ingredients are added, add the tbsp of milk and make sure all ingredients are combined.
6. Put 1tbsp of the mixture in each cupcake case, if there's extra, just top up your cases.
7. Pop these in the oven for 20-25 minutes && begin the task of cleaning your mess
8. Once you're cupcakes are out the over it's super important you let these cool
completely for 20 minutes before icing otherwise you're gonna have half melted runny icing.
To make the icing all you need to do is put the icing sugar, vanilla extract and butter in a bowl && mix them all together until smooth. You can either apply using a knife or a piping bag.
Now I'm no Nigella Lawson, so using a piping bag is just bit of fun for me.
Obviously if you don't want to ice them you don't have to, or try adding a little peanut butter
on the top!
I always leave some un-iced just incase someone doesn't like butter icing.
I'm also that much of a child i couldn't resist writing a 'Z' on one of the cupcakes.

So there you go, there's my cupcakes done! The best way to have these is with a cup of tea.
