#HeForShe

So recently are you are probably aware Emma Watson is the spokeswoman for the UN Women Global Goodwill Ambassador.

Now usually I am not too interested in politics or some current affairs but this definitely caught my attention. I ended up watching the video a few times to really get my head around what she was saying.

I am all about strong independent women and Emma is a prime example of this. It is very rare in our current climate that a woman's views are heard and so socially discussed.
After watching the video and thinking about the points she stated she was on point with it.

All over the world women are demorilised based on gender. This isn't just a problem concerning women, men have the same issue. It all comes back to inequality.
Now I am quite broad minded so race,ability/disability, age, gender & sexual orientation should not differ what people have access to and what rights they have.

Some of the most powerful people have one of these "inequalities".
America currently has a Black President.
Emmeline Pankhurst was a British suffragette who dedicated her life to womens rights.
Americas top female chat show host Ellen DeGeneres is homosexual.
Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was one of the most influential men of the world for apartheid.
Stephen Hawkings has motor neuron disease and has had the significant impacts on science.
Eleanor Roosevelt was a political aide who helped draft to 1948 UN declaration of human rights.

These are a few examples that i like. if you haven't seen the video here it is below.
