Clinique Super City Block BB Cushion Compact

Hey beautiful.
It feels like forever since i posted something makeup/beauty related so here's something i did a few weeks back!
So in July Clinique have launched their Super City Block BB Cushion Compact SPF50.  Yes you heard correctly - a cushioned foundation! They kindly invited me along to the launch on the product at their counter in Fenwicks. Now i was at a Clinique event back during Beauty Fashion Week so i was excited to having a catch up with the Clinique Girls as well as testing their newest product.
Whilst i was there I was treated the the most amazing charcoal facial && got to try their sonic cleansing brush - my skin has literally never felt as soft it was amazing. Clinique is one of those brands I always have products of && i'm definitely going to have to invest in their City Block Purifying charcoal clay mask - I felt like i was at a Spa.
Also their Sonic Cleansing Brush was pretty awesome - i know there's so many on the market but this is definitely a more affordable option if you're looking for a cleansing brush!
Now onto the compact itself!
Amy explained to me that the product has as SPF50 which, if you live in Newcastle you don't need to worry about wearing a high SPF but if you're going on your holidays this is the perfect SPF within a foundation. I do find the name 'BB' slightly misleading as i think it's definitely got a lot better coverage than what I would class as a 'BB Cream'.
However when applied to the skin it doesn't have that sticky or too powdery feel. It is so lightweight and quite natural, so it doesn't feel like you've got a face full of makeup.
Now i work as a barber so i rarely get a chance to retouch my makeup throughout the day and this holds really well. The only thing is i look a little shiny by the end of the day but that nothing a little loose powder can't fix.
You can apply with the sponge provided or i just used a foundation brush using circular motions and i find it gives a seamless finish.
Here's the all the makeup Amy used on me that day - I am obsessed with the Clinique Bronzer it has the most amazing tones.
The compact retails at £30 which i think it pretty reasonable for what most high end foundations cost && i think it's definitely something you should add to your make up collection.
Also this is Amy, she's amazing! Here she is modelling the Super City Block BB Cushion Compact!
She done my treatment during BeautyWeek so it was like going back to see an old friend, we chatted && giggled through the entire event && i couldn't resist capturing this shot.
These girls are amazing - Amy, Jen & Laura you ladies are amazing at what you do. We had such fun at the event itself && you feel like you've known them forever! If you get the chance, swing by the Clinique counter in Fenwicks, the service these ladies give is outstanding.
Clique then very kindly send me the Super City compact for me to use at home. So far I've been enjoying it but find it is quite a heavy, high coverage so you need to make sure you blend it well. It's so weird getting used to a sponge-like foundation instead of liquid/powder but i'm gonna keep trying with it a little longer.
What do you think of a compact foundation? What's your favourite Clinique product?
